In the Crans Montana alpine resort of the Swiss Alps, the Pas de l’Ours hosts both a boutique hotel member of the Relais & Châteaux chain, a one-star Michelin restaurant and bistro called the Bistrot des Ours.
Under the supervision of the chef Franck Reynaud, the Michelin Star restaurant Pas de l’Ours in Crans Montana allows some fine dining experience. Its short menu mixes some of the classical dishes of the French gastronomy with references to the local terroir, using for instance some of the cheese produced during the summer in the mountains above Crans-Montana or some locally produced dry beef. The wine list follows the same rules, combining some wine specialties you will only find in Valais with famous Bordeaux châteaux.
Why go to the Restaurant Pas de l’Ours in Crans-Montana? Off course, you can think that you go there just to enjoy the best cuisine that Crans-Montana can offer, but this restaurant will make it special by combining a classy service with a very personal casual touch. If like me you can enjoy a (not so expensive) Michelin star lunch on their sunny terrace, with a nice view on the Swiss alps… having enter the place with your hiking boots and your backpack, you will remember this moment all your life!
